Action: Approved proposed budget reductions as submitted by the City Manager and directed implementation of the reductions as soon as possible.

Impending City Clerk vacancy - Proposed Council Ad Hoc Subcommittee recommendation to appoint City Attorney Duvernay to serve as Interim City Clerk and direct the City Manager and City Attorney to prepare a ballot measure for submission to the voters on the June 8, 2010, statewide primary election, to consider converting the Office of the City Clerk from an elected office to a City Council appointed office (A-050-055)
Action: Approved appointment of City Attorney Duvernay to serve as Interim City Clerk and directed the City Manager and City Attorney to prepare ballot language for submission to the voters at the June 8, 2010, statewide primary election, to consider converting the Office of the City Clerk from an elected office to a City Council appointed office.
