2013 Community Creek Clean-up

Community Creek Cleanup 2013

returns to the Sacramento River Trail!

Join us Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 8:00 am - Noon as we tackle the invasive vegetation that has become overgrown and reduces visibility of the Sacramento River.

Creek Cleanup 2013 will focus on the north side of the Sacramento River Trail, between the Market Street Bridge and the Sundial Bridge.

During these four short hours, hundreds of volunteers will gather to help remove Himalayan Blackberry, Ailanthus, Pyracantha, Fruiting Mulberry, Mimosa, Acacia, Black Locust and Arundo.

Bring your water bottle, wear closed toe shoes, long pants, plenty of sunscreen, and come out and help restore the riparian savannah along the Sacramento River Trail. You can make a substantial contribution in the heart of Redding during a single morning of labor involving hundreds of your fellow citizens.

The City of Redding will have gloves, safety goggles, buckets and garden tools available for use.

Online pre-registration is now closed - you may register at the event on Saturday, October 5th 2013 beginning at 8:00 AM.

Free Chipotle Gift Card to the first 350 participants to sign-in at the Registration Desk. We look forward to seeing you there!
