Patrick grew up in Redding and attended local schools including Shasta College as well as Sacramento State University. He is a local businessman serving as manager of the family business, Jones' Fort, for more than twenty years.
Patrick is actively involved in the community, having served as past President of the Redding Gun Club, and as a committee member for the California Deer Association, Mule Deer Federation, the National Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, and Gun Owners of California. He is also active in many local non profit organizations' fund-raising efforts for community projects.
Patrick demonstrated his determination and commitment to serve his community by running for the Redding City Council in 2002 and 2004 before winning election in 2006. In December 2009, Patrick was appointed to a one-year term as Mayor.
Liaison Assignments: Patrick also serves as the City Council liaison to the Airport Land Use Committee, the Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee, the Local Agency Formation Commission, the Personnel and Police Departments, the Shasta Community Action Board, the Shasta County Remote Access Network Advisory Board, and the Veterans' Home. 2012 assignments are pending.
