The
City of Redding offers an Emergency Repair Program (ERP)
which is designed to provide affordable loans to low-income
owners of both mobile homes and conventional homes located
within the Redding city limits.

Eligibility:
The
homeowner must occupy the home and have household income
that does not exceed the current low-income guidelines established
by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Low-income tenants of rental units needing handicapped accessibility
improvements only, may also apply for grant assistance with approval
from the property owner.
Eligible
Repairs:
Repairs
may include plumbing and electrical repairs, wheelchair
ramps, flooring repairs, heating/cooling repairs, grab bar
installation, roofing repairs, and other
repairs that are necessary to improve accessibility or eliminate
critical health and safety problems.
Loan
Highlights :
The
ERP offers an unsecured 3% simple interest loan up to $2,500 to eligible households on a one-time basis
to eliminate basic health and safety problems and make necessary
accessibility improvements. No payments are necessary on the loan and all interest may be forgiven.
