[Inventory] [Bid Announcements] [Council Policy] [Maps] [Partner Up]
Welcome to the City of Redding Surplus Property Page. Here you will find information on the City's current inventory of surplus property, bid announcements for properties that are currently being offered for sale by bid, and the City's policies regarding the disposition of surplus land.
On a regular basis, the City of Redding reviews its inventory of real property to determine what land is in excess of its foreseeable needs. Land that is no longer needed for public purposes is declared surplus and then sold or exchanged pursuant to the adopted City Council Policy on the Disposition of City-owned Real Property.
In April 2010, the Redding City Council established a 12-month pilot project entitled "Partner Up! Surplus Property Program." This Program is in response to one of 10 ideas offered in December 2009 by the "Radical 10 in 2K10" Committee, a citizen's group formed to develop ideas to help stimulate the local economy. The Program offers contractors and other interested home-builders a special opportunity to obtain residential lots for little or no up-front cost. For more information on the Program, please view our Partner Up Program.
Please visit our current Inventory of surplus land, as well as Bid Announcements pages. Stop by our Council Policy page for information regarding the disposition of surplus land, and for an overall view of where these properties are located... visit our Maps page.
