INTERSECTION DETOURS
The Athens/Parkview and Hartnell/Hemsted intersections will be reconstructed this Summer. The reconstruction of the Athens/Parkview intersection is necessary to complete the widening and correct alignment and sight distance limitations. The reconstruction of the Hartnell/Hemsted intersection is necessary to accommodate the additional lanes.
This work will require the use of temporary detours as various pieces of the construction staging ‘puzzle’ are completed. There are times when various turn movements and the north/south legs of each intersection will be closed. Detours will be in place throughout this work to maintain access to all properties in the vicinity of the project and all driveways will remain open during normal business hours.
